Born in Vietnam, René-Jacques moved to Paris and began working as a photographer in 1924. There he photographed the social problems of the 1930s, later working for architects and film studios. After WWII he primarily photographed rural subject matter. - Minimal surface scratching in lower right side, otherwise a rich tonal print in excellent condition.
