My emphasis has mainly been on affirmative reactions to human behavior and a strong attraction to the beauty in nature." – Dennis Stock Dennis Stock was born in New York City in 1928. Evoking the spirit of America through his memorable and iconic portraits of Hollywood stars, Stock is also known for his famous portraits of jazz musicians and California in the 1960s. Stock has generated a book or an exhibition almost every year since the 1950s, and has taught numerous workshops and exhibited his work widely. He joined Magnum in 1951 and became a full member in 1954.
